Saint George's Day

Good morning!
Saint George's Day in England remembers Saint George, England's patron saint. The anniversary of his death, which is on 23rd April, is seen as England's national day. According to legend, he was a soldier who killed a dragon and saved a princess!

Today, have a go at designing your own shield! St. George would have carried a very special shield to protect himself. Your shield could include all of your favourite things. You could colour it, paint it, stick things onto it - entirely up to you.

See the example below.

Have a go at the maths activity below. Can you add 10 spots to the ladybirds? See how many different ways you can do it!

Open the document below for blank ladybirds in order to complete this activity.

Wednesday 22nd April

Good morning everyone. Did you manage to complete some Queen's Birthday activities yesterday and enjoy some more of the Spring sunshine?

Today, if you have the opportunity to go outside on your daily walk or into your gardens, then have a go at the 'Your Face In Nature' activity. You will need to collect natural resources from outside such as twigs, leaves and stones, then arrange them to create a portrait of your face. Then have a go at making the face of another person, a pet or one of your teddy bears!

See the instructions below:

Have you been keeping active with Joe Wicks during Easter?
Continue with the LIVE P.E lessons each day at 09:00am or watch them at any time that suits you! Keep active and have fun!

As we are now in beginning the summer term, we will be exploring 'minibeasts' as one of our topics. This week, try to go outside in your gardens or on a short walk near your home (if possible) and look for insects and small creatures that are buzzing and crawling around now that the weather is warmer. Stop and listen for a moment - what can you hear? Look closely at a tree, plant or flower, can you see any small insects or creatures?
If it is not possible to go outside, then follow the link below to the BBC 'Listen and Play - minibeasts' page and play the video.
